great staff but limited dining options
The staff were exceptionally patient during checkout, making the experience smooth despite my family's chaos. I appreciated the lovely waitress who handled our child's mess with grace and no complaint. The view from the Superior 2 Queen room was stunning, allowing us to soak in the beauty of the lake and the surrounding mountains. Additionally, the garden view nearby offered a peaceful spot to relax and unwind.
Dining options within the hotel were somewhat limited.

The kitchen in our split-level apartment was very convenient for family meals, and the free spa access was a lovely bonus after long days of exploring Queenstown.

missingWrote a review on 08 Novlake viewscomfortable bedsrestful nightslacking upgrades
The stunning lake views from my room were a highlight of my stay, and I appreciated the comfortable beds that made for restful nights. However, the hotel is in need of some serious upgrades. The furniture looks worn, and the lack of air conditioning made the room feel stuffy, especially during hot nights. Housekeeping was consistently late. on one occasion, they didn’t service our room until after 4 pm, which was inconvenient after a long day. The provided amenities felt outdated, lacking basic kitchenware, and I faced issues with a broken lamp. Although the location is great for scenic views, dining options at the hotel were limited and the restaurant was closed during my stay. All these factors made the price feel unjustified. I would not choose to return given the current state of the hotel, despite those lovely views.

We had a wonderful time with our five adult children, enjoying the comfy beds and the convenient walking tracks right on the doorstep. The view from our room was stunning, and we even played some pool in the bar, which was a hit with the family.
My wife says that the restaurant hours were really limiting for families looking to unwind together.

Family with young children, avoid it
The views from the large balcony were amazing! We spent evenings soaking in the scenery while enjoying snacks we brought from the nearby market.
It wasn’t exactly bargain-basement, but it was still acceptable given the overall experience.

The view from the room was stunning, looking directly across Lake Wakatipu to the mountains beyond. The large terrace was an added bonus, providing a great space to enjoy the scenery. Check-in was efficient, and breakfast offered a satisfying range of options, despite the restaurant being busy. The bed was large and comfortable, contributing to a restful stay during our work trip.
The decor is somewhat dated and may require an upgrade.

The warm, accommodating staff made check-in smooth and the breathtaking mountain views from the balcony added a magical touch to our stay. Daily cleaning was appreciated, and the free parking was a huge plus. However, the breakfast left much to be desired. the toast was disappointing, like cardboard, and finding reception felt a bit tricky. Although the kitchenette in the apartment was a great feature, it could have included more utensils for convenience.
